The Reason America is Such a Different Nation

The reason America is such a different nation than it was 50 years ago is simple, we were different people then than we are now. We just were not the kind of people 50 years ago that we are today.

Find out what has changed and you will discover what has changed the people.

It's not guns, we had plenty of guns then.

It's not poverty, we had more poverty 50 years ago than we do today.

It's not the environment, we had more smog, and as many hot days then as we have today.

What has changed is evident.

Then we had the Bible and prayer in every classroom.

Then we as a society honored the Bible as the Word of God.

Then we tolerated all Faiths, but we only recognized the Christian Faith as true.

Then we believed that the wicked should be shunned and the righteous alone honored.

Then we believed that Government should be limited and the people free to rule their own lives.

Then we believed in personal responsibility and saw no need to feed the lazy.

Then we had self pride and thought it was a disgrace for an able man to live off of the fruit of another's labor.

Then we honored life.

Then we honored God, Family and Country.

Then we believed America was exceptional and patriotism was taught to every child.

Then we revered the Constitution and demanded our leaders did the same.

Then we thought it was the American way to attend Church weekly and a necessity for every child to be in Sunday School and receive Biblical training.

Then the only family we knew and recognized was the Biblical model of one man and one woman for a lifetime.

Then we saw the great need of a free Church in our free society.

Then we demanded our politicians be trustworthy and friendly to the Church of the living God.

Then our people couldn't even imagine the vile evils that are now such a part of the makeup of our people.

Then we were really a good people that would have never thought of committing the evils that today's society are so comfortable with.

Then our society believed that a man could fall no lower than to abandon his family and leave them for the government to care for.

These are the differences between then and now. These differences are what made America of yesterday a much better place to live and raise a family that it is today.

Sadly, the people of today are so fallen that they outright reject the values of yesterday. We would rather wallow in our cesspool of sin as we watch our freedoms and our nation slip away than to repent and return to the God of our forefathers.

We are now a people hardened in sin, who will only be broken by a cataclysmic catastrophe.

Blessed Independence Day United States of America - 2014

Those of us who legally live in the USA are given the right to vote for the leadership of our Nation, our State, Counties, and cities. If we fail to vote we have no right to complain about the leadership. Your vote and mine gives us a voice, don't let it be silent.

If you are a Christian vote your Christian Spirit and conscience. Vote for the one's who are for life from conception to the grave [legitimately], and not coerced. Though the economy may be important concerning jobs, finances, etc. the morality of our candidates and their characters are of much more importance. If their character does not stand along side God, godliness, holiness and righteousness, then they are not fit for leadership. How they speak of God and Country and their worship is of the utmost importance.

God will not hold us guiltless when we vote for a man or woman who will kill babies before they're born, nor will He hold guiltless a man or woman who does not respect life after it is born; and until the non-manipulated death of the elderly.

Seek God's guidance, then vote.

Jesus and Politics

There is a whole lot of politics going on. You know the idea, and ask the question, “How do you know a politician is lying?” The answer is… I will let you know a little later. That almost sounds like a good answer. That is not it, however.

How should Christians who are ‘followers of Jesus Christ’ be involved in politics, or should they be? Jesus said, “Render to Caesar, the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s”. It seems you could get a clear and distinct answer of being involved from that statement, “Render to Caesar…” When we are citizens of a Nation which has a democratic process of elections, then, we should participate in those elections and let our vote and voice be heard.

Should Christians try to get moral legislation for that Nation? That may be a little stickier. As Christians we understand that morality, nor legislation is going to change a nation. A nation changes as the hearts of the people are changed. That works in the positive and the negative. If the life changing message of the Gospel of Jesus is received by the populace, then there will be a positive change of hearts. If, on the other hand, society begins to turn more and more away from God, His Word, equal justice for all, giving of their resources to others in need, and morality, then there is the negative change and evil will increase. The streets will be filled with crimes such as street shootings, school shootings, robberies - banks, convenience stores, jewelry stores, churches, etc. Husbands killing wives, wives killing husbands, parents killing children, children killing parents, co-habitations, and all kinds of immoral sexual behavior.

Christians must have a voice, and that voice is in their church buildings and in the voting booth, and in the public forum. Christian, you have the right to vote: Use it or lose it.

I was behind a car from New Hampshire on the afternoon of Friday October 27, 2006 in Cassville, Missouri. I noticed something about that plate and the motto on the plate. It read, “LIVE FREE, OR DIE”. I thought when I saw it, “Now who ever came up with that one had a bold thought”. As long as you and I have the freedom to vote we have a say in the way things are run in our country.

If we get to trusting in the political process to save our Nation we are doomed. In the book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ it speaks of a woman riding a beast. That woman represents religion, and the beast is - I believe - democratic government. I must say, has not religion in recent years been riding the beast of democracy? What follows is not pretty.

The Gospel of Jesus will change hearts and lives. No political process can do that. Legislate as you will.

Now to answer the question at the beginning. Their mouth is moving. But, you probably already knew that.

Was The USA Built on Christian Principles?

Here is a quote from the book THE REBIRTH OF AMERICA:

"In his stirring anthem to the solidity of the Christian faith, George Chapman penned the now- familiar words, 'How firm a foundation, ye saints of the Lord, is laid for your faith in His excellent Word!" And how appropriate are these words when correlated to America's glorious heritage.

This nation, without reasonable doubt, was established on the firm foundation of Scripture. Our forefathers, brilliant as they were, openly acknowledged the true genius behind the new system to be the eternal principles of God's Word. The most fundamental concepts of the republic find their roots in the Bible. From the beginning, the basis for law and government in American society was decidedly biblical. What's more, the new land was forged through the energy of the Judeo-Christian work ethic.

The United States in her first century of existence knew the stinging reality of conflict. There were wars, assassinations, injustices, catastrophes, and plagues of disease. But the young nation endured, for its moral fabric had been woven with the durable threads of Scriptural truth. Societal ills, like slavery, were ultimately recognized for what they were: violations of God's standard.

The record of the establishment of America bears the clear stamp of Christian influence. The impact of the Gospel is evident in the leaders chosen, the laws written, and the sweeping changes brought about through the transforming power of Christ in individual lives and corporate experience. America was not formed a nation apart from God, but a nation under God"

The nation that was built on the principles of the Word of God is quickly becoming a nation forsaking the Word of God. When we have Muslims protesting our freedom to remember the birth of Christ in our Schools, and one or more schools have already banned Christmas due to such protest,then we have fallen terribly. May God help us.

The USA and the Roman Empire

From an Article titled, WHY DID THE ROMAN EMPIRE FALL? This is noteworthy for repeat wherever we may do it.

The events which led to the collapse of the Roman Empire are startling similar to the events whech are occurring in our nation today.

Historical Sequence

1.Strong Families: Rome was founded on high moral standards. Each father was respeced as the head of the family. In the early republic, the father had legal authority to discipline rebellious members of his family.

2.Home Education: The education of the children was the responsibility of the parents. This futhrer strengthened the children's honor and respect for their parents and also deepened the communication and understanding between parents and children.

3.Prosperity: Strong Roman families produced a strong nation. The Roman armies were victorious in war. The wealth of conquered nations increased Roman prosperity and prestige.

4. National Achievements: Great building programs began in Rome. A vast network of roads united the empire. Magnificent palaces, public buildings, and coliseums were constructed.

5. Infiltration of "The Lie": As Roman families porspered, it became fashionable to hire educated Greeks to care for the children. Greek philosophy, with its humanistice and godless base, was soon passed on to the Roman families. Women demanded more rights and, in order to accommodate them, new marriage contracts were designed, including 'open marriages'.

6. Big Government: By the first century A.D. the father had lost his legal authority. It was delegated to the village, then to the city, then to the state,a nd finally to the empire. In Rome, citizens complained about housing shortages, soaring rents, congested traffice, polutted air, crimes in the streets, and the high cost of living. Unemployment was a perennial problem. To solve it, the government created a multitude of civil service jobs, including building inspectors, health inspectors, and tax collectors.

7. Decline and Persecution: The problem of big government only multiplied. Meanwhile, a flourishing New Testament Churc was established in the Roman Empire throught he preaching of the Apostle Paul and others. The final act of the Roman Empire was to bring great persecution to these Christians

Rome was quite tolerant of all religions except Christianity. Christianity was banned and Christians were persecuted, burned, and thrown to the lions. Why? Because the very nature of Christianity is intolerant of "the lie" of Satan which is the basis of every other religion.

6. Big Government: By the first century A.D. the father had lost his legal authority. It was delegated to the village, then to the city, then to the state,a nd finally to the empire. In Rome, citizens complained about housing shortages, soaring rents, congested traffice, polutted air, crimes in the streets, and the high cost of living. Unemployment was a perennial problem. To solve it, the government created a multitude of civil service jobs, including building inspectors, health inspectors, and tax collectors.

7. Decline and Persecution: The problem of big government only multiplied. Meanwhile, a flourishing New Testament Churc was established in the Roman Empire throught he preaching of the Apostle Paul and others. The final act of the Roman Empire was to bring great persecution to these Christians

Rome was quite tolerant of all religions except Christianity. Christianity was banned and Christians were persecuted, burned, and thrown to the lions. Why? Because the very nature of Christianity is intolerant of "the lie" of Satan which is the basis of every other religion.
